Description
Our client is a family-owned business operating in the food manufacturing and retail sector. They are currently seeking to recruit an IT Assistant Manager to join their team. The chosen candidate will be assisting in managing daily IT operations, supervising technical staff, ensuring system reliability and driving technology initiatives that support business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting in managing the organization’s IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, cloud services, and end-user devices.
- Ensuring high availability, performance and security of IT systems.
- Monitoring system performance and coordinating preventive maintenance activities.
- Supporting redundancy and business continuity planning.
- Supervising and mentoring IT staff.
- Coordinating workload allocation and ensuring timely resolution of IT issues.
- Assisting in recruitment, onboarding, and performance evaluations of IT personnel.
- Maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction through effective service delivery.
- Supporting implementation and enforcement of cybersecurity policies and procedures.
- Monitoring security incidents and coordinating response activities.
- Assisting in conducting risk assessments, audits and compliance reviews.
- Participating in IT projects including system upgrades, software deployments, and digital transformation initiatives.
- Maintaining accurate documentation of IT systems, processes and configurations.
- Ensuring compliance with organizational policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in IT support, systems or network administration or related areas.
- At least 1-2 years of supervisory or team leadership experience is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of:
- Microsoft Windows Server and Active Directory.
- Microsoft 365 Administration.
- Network Infrastructure (LAN/WAN,VPN, Switches, Firewalls).
- Cloud platforms (Azure, Dynamics 365).
- Cybersecurity best practices.
- Virtualization technologies (Hyper-V).
- Backup solutions (Veeam).
