POSITION/ROLE OVERVIEW

The Systems Analyst is a member of the Systems & Cross-Functional Support team in the Provost Office’s Student and Academic Systems (SAS) unit. This centralized department supports the array of systems across all administrative and academic units of the Provost Office, including Slate, Starfish, DegreeWorks, 25Live, DestinyOne, and more. This team of systems analysts reports to the Senior Director of Systems & Cross-Functional Support and supports and executes the core system functions that are required to maintain and ensure business continuity. The team is responsible for working with the IT department to carry out upgrades according to the needs and priorities of the functional areas, and collaborating with those areas to ensure thorough test plans are implemented. They work closely with the SAS End-User Training and Support team to troubleshoot and make improvements to existing system functionality, and will be expected to contribute improvement ideas of their own. This position in particular will provide systems support to our continuing education (CE) programs, including executive education, pre-college, and more. The right candidate will be expected to provide crucial input on the best practices for system configuration in the CE space. Finally, the team will run any new software implementations that arise in the PO, and work with our Business Analyst to produce clear, legible documentation of processes and procedures.

  • Lead new software implementations within the Provost Office, driving projects from initial rollout to operational stability.

Collaboration, Support & Continuous Improvement

  • Collaborate with the End-User Training and Support team to troubleshoot complex issues, optimize existing functionality, and proactively propose system enhancements.

  • Work closely with the Business Analyst to map, standardize, and produce clear, comprehensive documentation for all system processes and procedures.

  • Regularly review data definitions and identify reporting opportunities to improve data integrity and insights across platforms (including Slate, Starfish, DegreeWorks, 25Live, DestinyOne, and others).

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    • Minimum 3 years of systems-related experience in higher education administration.

    • Experienced analytical and creative thinker, one who leverages relationships to get buy-in and support for solutions and enhancements.
