Description

GLG is the world's leading platform for trusted human expertise. We deliver access to the freshest perspectives of the world’s experts at the forefront of their industries, so clients can gain a strategic edge. Our global teams leverage leading technology and decades of proprietary data to help our clients answer business-critical and complex questions within the industry’s most trusted research environment.

The VP, Global Marketing is responsible for setting the marketing strategy globally across business. GLG already counts the world’s largest financial institutions and most influential companies as their clients. The mandate is to build on that foundation of trusted relationships— deepening engagement with existing accounts, accelerating demand for GLG's products and services, and positioning the business to capture the next wave of fast-growing companies that will rely on human expertise to navigate an increasingly complex world.

GLG Marketing is at a key inflection point and we are looking for a leader who will develop our current capabilities into a marketing center of excellence, continually improving creativity, innovativeness, and effectiveness to ensure Marketing is a strategic partner to the business.  Despite GLG's scale, the pace is that of a growth-stage company, the drive to continue leading the industry is real, and the VP, Global Marketing will be at the center of how GLG communicates its value to the market. This is a role for someone who wants to shape the next chapter of a business — not manage the status quo. The right candidate will have built their career on earning the trust of demanding B2B buyers and will bring the strategic instincts and resourcefulness to direct a global team in ways that meaningfully move the needle.

Key responsibilities

  • Set the overall marketing strategy and own revenue outcomes: develop marketing strategies that align with business objectives, owning marketing-sourced pipeline contribution, collaborating with Commercial leadership on OKRs, MQL/SQL definitions, and review cadences
  • Lead the transformation of GLG's AI-powered marketing including personalization at scale, generative content, and intent signals, setting the foundation for an intelligent, scalable marketing organization
  • Lead a high-performing global marketing organization, fostering a culture of creativity and accountability, deep customer and competitive intelligence, identifying L&D opportunities and ensuring integration of technology and tools to operate effectively
  • Architect integrated campaign strategy and drive demand generation, ensuring communication of GLG's differentiated value propositions across client segments and leading geo-specific marketers in localizing strategy, messaging, and content to address market requirements
  • Scale user lifecycle marketing programs to drive share through engagement, expansion, and retention campaigns in close partnership with Commercial teams and Sales Enablement
  • Partner with Brand, Communications, and Product Marketing leads to deliver cohesive messaging, brand building, and message testing, and collaborate on product launch campaigns that articulate clear use cases and capabilities for each segment and persona
  • Manage performance and budget, collaborating with Marketing Operations to ensure data-driven decision making through clear KPIs and ongoing optimization. Work with the CMO to manage global marketing budgets, optimize ROI, and ensure effective resource allocation across channels and regions

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive marketing experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role inclusive of pipeline/revenue ownership—preferably in B2B research, information services, or infrastructure sectors.
  • Demonstrated ability launching and managing AI programs geared toward improving marketing efficiency and effectiveness
  • Fluency in usage-based or subscription revenue model; experience in two-sided marketplace businesses and/or the research, data, or business information industry is preferred
  • Strong analytical and research skills; ability to translate insights into actionable marketing strategies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to direct teams and partners toward strategic and creative outcomes
  • Fluency in core mar-tech tools, including marketing automation, CRM, ABM, and analytics
  • Highly collaborative and results-oriented; ability to thrive in a fast-paced, matrixed, and global environment
  • Experience developing marketing capabilities and/or leading team transformation preferred
