Description
We’re looking for a confident and organised Customer Care Representative to join our Manchester-based team (part of the wider Commercial team). This is a busy, fast-paced role where you’ll be the first point of contact for customers, handling calls, emails and live operational queries, placing fuel orders and building delivery KPI data.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and prioritise activity across four key workstreams: telephone calls, the Fuel Orders inbox, the Customer Care inbox and reactive operational tasks
- Ensure real time delivery issues are communicated effectively between the Flexigrid operation and the customer
- Process customer fuel orders received by telephone or email
- Assist customers with same or next day deliveries to prevent stock outages
- Handle all customer queries in a timely and effective manner
- Report, investigate and close out high level events, ensuring all relevant information is captured and recorded appropriately
- Compiling KPI data for internal and external reporting
- Assist with the system set up of new customers when new business has been secured by the account management teams
- Identify and act on any opportunity to enhance the customer experience and our service offering
- To always work harmoniously and respectfully with colleagues in Customer Care and other departments

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Previous experience in a customer-facing role
- Experience and confidence in call handling, including challenging conversations
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft packages
- Experience and / or understanding of the fuel industry (desirable)
- Attention to detail is critical in this role
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are needed, coupled with the ability to develop relationships on all levels
- Has a strong team ethic but also has an ability to work independently when needed
- Is flexible and has the ability to work under pressure
- Displays high organisational skills and the ability to multi-skill and manage workloads effectively
- Shows curiosity and is not afraid to ask questions to develop understanding
- Is comfortable to ask questions and challenge the norm.
