Construction Superintendant

The Construction Superintendent will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day field operations for a full demolition and renovation of an existing fire station. This individual should have experience managing subcontractors, maintaining project schedules, enforcing safety standards, and ensuring quality throughout all phases of construction. The ideal candidate will be a leader who can effectively coordinate field activities while working closely with the Project Manager to deliver the project on time and within scope.

This is a Contract to Possible Permanent position that will require being fully on-site in Arlington, VA.

Salary: $50,000–$90,000 (Depending on Experience)

Project Details:

• Full demolition and renovation of an existing fire station
• Commercial/municipal construction project
• Approximately 12-month project duration
• Project scheduled to begin in 3 weeks 

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3+ years of experience as a Construction Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent, Field Supervisor, or similar construction leadership role
• Commercial construction experience preferred; renovation experience required
• Experience coordinating subcontractors, schedules, inspections, and daily jobsite operations
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, OSHA safety standards, and quality control
• Ability to read construction drawings and effectively manage multiple trades on-site
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Experience with municipal, government, or public safety facility projects is a plus
• Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with the Project Manager
