Job Description:
Reporting to the Senior Sales Manager, the Sales Representative will be responsible to manage and execute our provincial sales strategy with a group of customers within an assigned territory. The Sale Representative will need to grow our portfolio sales at all points of sale while building and maintaining professional relationships with customers and colleagues. Responsibilities include:
Manage territory to maximize coverage in order to achieve objectives/targets per visit, service current products, secure distribution & expand the sale of Arterra products at NSLC & PEILCC retail and licensees in a predetermined territory.
To ensure that the annual sales volume, revenue and margin contribution of territory supports the achievement of the provincial plan.
Plan and set priorities for each customer visit in order to achieve organizational goals.
Prioritizing objectives and company strategies (new products, promotions etc.), the Sales Representative ensures to have all information, knowledge and documents necessary to communicate, present and secure buy-in from the customer
Negotiate display space within stores and inventory levels
Execute store audits to ensure all marketing activities are being executed as planned and report any breaches to management
Increase our product distribution in all retail & licensee locations
Licensee accounts (restaurants, hotels, bars, etc) will be a focus for this role including staff training & cold calling
Ensure proper management of all paperwork and reports as required
Communicate any facts and situations within territory that could impact Arterra’s business to the Senior Sales Manager
Identify new opportunities and develop an action plan
Maintain excellent relationships with all customers
Assist with the preparation and participation in different trade shows throughout Nova Scotia & PEI
Requirements:
University degree or College Diploma
1 to 3 years’ experience in sales, experience in retail or licensee industry a plus
Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point etc.), and Internet
Physically capable of lifting cases of approximately 20KG repeatedly
Valid driver’s license
Ideal candidate will be based in Halifax, Nova Scotia
Able to spend majority of time traveling within territory
Wine knowledge/education a plus but not required

Compensation: Budgeted Range – $59,257.00 - $81,492.00.
The budgeted range takes into account several factors and qualifications that are considered in making compensation decisions including experience, education, training, licenses, certifications, and other business and organizational requirements. Base pay is only one component of the total rewards offering at Arterra.
