You Are: Record to Report Configuration Specialist
The Work:
The Record to Report (R2R) Configuration Specialist is responsible for designing, configuring, and maintaining financial‑accounting processes within ERP platforms such as Oracle Cloud ERP, Oracle E‑Business Suite, or similar enterprise systems. This role ensures accurate financial‑data flow, seamless period‑close activities, and efficient system functionality across General Ledger, Allocations, Intercompany, and Financial Reporting modules. The Specialist partners closely with finance, accounting, and technical teams to translate business requirements into scalable, compliant system configurations that support operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Configure R2R components including journal processing, allocations, reconciliation rules, intercompany setups, and reporting structures
- Maintain financial‑close configurations supporting period‑open/close, accruals, reclassifications, and automated posting workflows
- Translate functional and accounting requirements into ERP configurations across GL, Intercompany, Allocations, and reporting modules
- Validate integrations across upstream and downstream finance processes, including AP, AR, Assets, Projects, and Procurement
- Manage configuration documentation, update workbooks, and support migration of configurations across environments
- Support testing cycles (SIT, UAT, regression) and resolve functional or cross‑module defects
- Partner with finance and accounting teams to ensure configuration alignment with compliance, auditability, and internal controls
- Troubleshoot system integration issues and ensure accuracy of financial postings throughout the journal lifecycle
Here’s What You Need:
- Hands‑on experience configuring ERP R2R modules (Oracle Cloud ERP preferred)
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial‑close processes, and end‑to‑end journal lifecycle management
- Ability to interpret functional requirements and translate them into system configurations
- Experience with test management, functional‑specification writing, and defect resolution
- Solid analytical skills with proficiency in troubleshooting system‑integration issues
- Effective communication skills and ability to partner across technical and business teams
