About the role
We are looking for an Electrical Supervisor to join our Port Operation. As the Electrical Supervisor you will lead a team of Electrical Maintainers to safely and efficiently maintain the electrical and control system assets for Dampier Ports fixed plant assets to ensure compliance and reliability.
This role is based at our Dampier site – nestled in the heart of the family focused, coastal town of Karratha, where residential living supports genuine work life balance in a close-knit Pilbara community. Reporting to the Electrical Superintendent and working in a collaborative community you will be
Uphold all Rio Tinto standards, policies and procedures
Act as Electrical Supervisor in line with Schedule 26 requirements
Ensure all electrical work is supervised, compliant and safe to operate
Lead crew safety performance, investigations and reporting
Participate in LIF, CRM and field verification activities
Conduct site inspections to maintain electrical compliance
Lead, coach and develop Electrical Maintainers
Deliver electrical maintenance as per plan and schedule
Ensure high-quality workmanship, documentation and SAP entries
Champion improvement of safe work procedures and electrical documentation
About you
A Grade Electrical Licence
Strong experience in fixed plant operations or maintenance environment
WHS Statutory Supervisor Qualification
High proficiency in SAP, including notifications, work management, and confirmations
Strong coordination and execution skills, ideally supporting shutdowns and rolling maintenance
Good understanding of maintenance principles and parts management
Strong computer literacy (Microsoft Office, shift logs, SparesFinder)
Ability to work across multiple work fronts and changing priorities
Strong interpersonal skills with the confidence to engage across teams and functions
A strong commitment to safety, compliance, and continuous improvement

Where you’ll be working
Dampier Ports and Marine operate on Murujuga within Yaburara lands
Our integrated operations, which include port facilities, ensure we can supply the right quality product to our customers when they need it. We blend our products at our own ports, which allows us to produce a reliable and consistent product. And because we have dedicated shipping operations, we are able to better control the delivery of product to our customers.
We operate 4 independent shipping terminals at 2 locations, Cape Lambert and Dampier, managed as a single port system.
Dampier has terminals at Parker Point and East Intercourse Island, loading approximately 3 ships per day.
