About us
In the SMT‑QOE department, we work as a dedicated team of 16 Quality Engineers and Quality Managers. We are responsible for quality management in operations and in development projects, as well as sustaining activities at and with our customer ASML, and act as the first point of contact for quality topics within the SMO division.
Through targeted reporting and steering meetings with manufacturing, development and our customer, we stabilize and improve quality and reduce CoPQ (Cost of Poor Quality). Our focus is on best enabling the planned growth in the EUV field through effective measures, proactive quality management and structured quality roadmaps with ASML. Quality is value!
Your role
With your scientific background, you take on the role of Quality Manager for complex and technologically advanced lithography optics across the development, industrialization and sustaining phases and are in particular responsible for:
managing the quality of EUV products in the SMO division throughout the entire product lifecycle, including planning, coordinating and further developing quality planning as well as aligning, scheduling and approving quality reviews in the development process
reporting and, where required, escalating quality performance based on relevant KPIs within project teams and the line organization
planning, coordinating and taking ownership of actions to improve quality results, including co‑defining, aligning and maintaining quality metrics and their targets
leading improvement projects and presenting the results to customers
acting as central contact for customers on quality‑related topics (e.g. special releases, escalated complaints, improvement projects)
leading structured problem‑solving activities such as 8D and PDCA
Your profile
You hold a degree from a university of applied sciences in natural sciences, mechanical engineering or industrial engineering; a master’s degree or a doctorate ideally completes your profile.
You have at least 3 years of professional experience and a strong technical understanding of optics, mechanics and electronics / mechatronics.
Project management is part of your toolkit: you confidently apply established methods and possess solid expertise in quality management (e.g. ISO 9001, Six Sigma) as well as hands‑on experience with common quality methods (e.g. 8D, PDCA, 5-Why).
Your way of working is characterized by analytical thinking, a structured and self‑reliant approach and a high level of organizational capability.
You stand out through strong persuasiveness and assertiveness, demonstrate initiative and persistence, and act with an entrepreneurial mindset – always in the interest of our customers.
You communicate clearly and respectfully, present yourself confidently to customers and all levels of the organization, remain resilient and flexible even in demanding situations, and have very good German and English skills (each at C-level) in spoken and written form.
