The Building Maintenance Unit is responsible to manage all aspects of building maintenance with an aim to provide a well-maintained, safe and sustainable environment for all users. Applications are now invited from qualified individuals for the position of Manager (Building Maintenance). The appointee will be responsible for the following:
- Leading an in-house team together with various contractors under different term contracts to facilitate a culture of good quality service delivery;
- Reviewing of policies, procedures, tender specifications/drawings, risk assessment, method statement and guidelines benchmarked against best practices to ensure continuous performance improvement;
- Maintaining budget and resources to achieve the most effective and efficient operation;
- Supervising routine/planned maintenance works and providing 24-hour emergency response;
- Communicating with stakeholders for addition & alteration and repairs & maintenance works;
- Maintaining work order log according to service level agreement; and
- Ensuring compliance with statutory and safety requirements and creating a culture of safety first across all operations.
Applicants should have a degree in building technology, construction, building surveying or related disciplines with at least 10 years of relevant experience in building facilities management, which should include proven experience in managing/supervision of subordinates; good organizational skills and a strong sense of responsibility. Proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese is a must and proficiency in Putonghua is preferred. Knowledge in AutoCAD, Maximo and GIS is an advantage. (Duration: 2-year contract)
Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
