Our opportunity:
As Innovation & Commercialization Manager at Burger King APAC, you will bridge culinary innovation and large-scale execution - transforming product ideas and kitchen prototypes into commercially viable, scalable solutions across markets.
You will combine deep technical expertise in food science and product development with strong supplier collaboration and operational understanding to ensure innovations are executed with excellence - delivering consistent quality at scale and cost-effective manner.
Beyond project execution, you will play a critical role in proactively driving ingredients and packaging innovation, identifying opportunities to enhance and elevate product performance and guest satisfaction.
RBI follows a 5 day, in-office work schedule to support collaboration. Candidates should be comfortable working onsite 5 days per week.
Your roles & responsibilities:
- Own the commercialization process from approved concept to full-scale production, ensuring successful transition from kitchen prototype to supplier manufacturing.
- Maintain global menu standards and trust in taste compliance by providing guidance to local innovation teams on core product development/improvement.
- Translate culinary concepts into scalable product specifications.
- Manage strategic supplier partnerships to co-develop products and processes.
- Lead pilot trials, factory validations, and scale-up processes.
- Manage commercialization timelines by working closely with QA, Operations, Procurement, and Franchisees.
- Monitor industry trends and emerging capabilities and identify business opportunities to improve core ingredients and packaging solutions.
- Build and leverage partnerships with external food partners to collaborate on new product platforms, ingredients, and technologies.
Your skills & experience:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in food science, Food Technology, Culinary or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in food product development, commercialization, or manufacturing.
- Strong technical knowledge of food formulation, processing, and scale-up.
- Proven experience working with suppliers and co-manufacturers.
- Experience in QSR, FMCG, or large-scale food production environments is required.
- Familiarity with food safety standards, regulatory requirements, and QA processes.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong project management skills, especially structured execution, timeline and risk management.
- Fluent in English. Fluency in Chinese is a plus.
- Willingness to travel across the APAC region around 30% of the time.
