Description
Team Leadership: Lead, coach, and develop Social Media Managers and Associate Managers, establishing clear goals, priorities, operating rhythms, and accountability for results. Social Strategy: Translate brand and business objectives into social strategies that drive awareness, engagement, conversion, loyalty, and brand growth. Channel Ownership: Manage select social channels, including content planning, publishing oversight, community engagement, response management, and performance optimization. Agency & Cross-Functional Partnership: Partner with Brand Marketing, Communications, Media, Creative, PR, Consumer Relations, Insights, Legal, Regulatory, and agency teams to brief assets, align feedback, support campaign execution, and integrate social strategy across marketing plans. Governance & Operations: Build scalable planning, briefing, approval, publishing, reporting, and governance processes that support multiple brands, campaigns, and agency-created assets. Social Listening & Risk Management: Monitor social channels for consumer inquiries, trends, opportunities, and reputational risks, serving as the escalation point for sensitive issues. Performance & Optimization: Define success metrics, lead performance reviews, use insights to guide decisions, and drive continuous improvement across social programs. Innovation & Culture: Encourage experimentation, creativity, and social-first thinking that keeps brands relevant and connected to consumers. Builds effective teams through coaching, feedback, development planning, and clear performance expectations. Creates a culture of empowerment, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Influences cross-functional partners and aligns stakeholders across brand priorities, business needs, and emerging opportunities. Balances enterprise-level strategy with brand-specific needs, cultural moments, risk considerations, and execution requirements. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required. Minimum of 7 years' experience in social media strategy, channel management, community management, content planning, and performance optimization. Experience leading and developing direct reports, including managers and/or associate managers. Strong understanding of social platforms, consumer engagement, social listening, content governance, and emerging trends. Experience managing social media across a multi-brand portfolio or complex business environment preferred. Demonstrated ability to partner with agencies and cross-functional teams to brief work, review assets, align feedback, and support execution. Strong communication, judgment, stakeholder management, process development, and brand voice management skills.
