VIP / Equity Manager – Service-to-Sales Specialist

Neil Huffman Auto Group is hiring a VIP/Equity Manager to help drive sales and inventory growth through our existing service customers.

Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

This is not a traditional automotive sales position. We are looking for someone who can turn opportunities within our service drive into vehicle sales, quality inventory acquisitions, and stronger long-term customer relationships.

Rather than waiting for lot traffic or chasing internet leads, you'll work with customers who already know and trust Neil Huffman Auto Group.

What You'll Do

As our VIP/Equity Manager, you will take ownership of the Service-to-Sales process by identifying customers who may benefit from upgrading or selling their current vehicle.

Daily Responsibilities:

• Review service appointments and equity-mining reports to identify qualified opportunities

• Use customer and vehicle data to determine potential equity positions

• Contact selected customers prior to their service appointment

• Partner with Service Advisors to create smooth, professional introductions

• Meet with customers for a low-pressure VIP vehicle consultation

• Present customers with clear options based on their individual situation

• Provide opportunities to upgrade into a newer vehicle

• Offer to purchase customers' current vehicles - no vehicle purchase required

• Help acquire desirable pre-owned inventory directly from customers

• Maintain detailed CRM records, including conversations, objections, timing, and next steps

• Complete consistent and timely customer follow-up

• Build relationships that encourage repeat and future business

• Work closely with Sales, Service, and Used Vehicle Management

This Position Is Different

We're not looking for someone to stand on the lot waiting for the next customer.

We're looking for someone who can recognize opportunities, build trust, follow a proven process, and consistently execute.

The goal isn't to pressure service customers into buying vehicles. It's to provide them with information and options they may not realize are available.

A successful VIP/Equity Manager helps us:

• Generate incremental vehicle sales

• Acquire quality pre-owned inventory outside of traditional auctions

• Increase customer retention

• Strengthen the relationship between Sales and Service

• Maximize opportunities from customers already visiting our dealerships

How Success Will Be Measured

Performance will be based on meaningful results, including:

• Service customers engaged

• Customer consultations/write-ups

• Vehicles sold

• Gross profit

• Trade-ins and vehicles acquired

• Follow-up and CRM process compliance

• Inventory acquisition cost

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate is personable, organized, confident, and comfortable communicating with customers without relying on high-pressure sales tactics.

Qualifications:

• Strong communication and relationship-building skills

• Professional and customer-focused approach

• Highly organized and process-driven

• Ability to work independently and consistently follow established procedures

• Comfortable working with CRM, DMS, and other dealership technology

• Strong follow-up and time-management skills

• Ability to analyze information and identify opportunities

• Automotive Sales, BDC, Service, or dealership experience is a plus

• Experience with equity-mining tools is a plus

• Positive attitude and willingness to learn

Compensation

Competitive base pay plus performance-based bonuses and incentives.

Incentive opportunities may be tied to customer engagement, appointments, vehicle sales, and inventory acquisitions.
