Manager On Duty - Internal Promotion Only

Provides on-site supervision at the New Brighton Community Center. Performs various preventative maintenance daily cleaning and room setups. Manager on Duty ensures that facility users have a safe positive experience and that all users comply with facility rules and standards for behavior. This is a part-time position working weekends with hours ranging from 6-20 per week.

• Ensure staff works together; provide direction and help minimize operational problems.
• Reviews the details of events scheduled at the NBCC and confers with facility staff to ensure a common understanding of what's occurring, when it's occurring, and what's expected from the facility.
• Oversees scheduled activities by walking through the facility and being available to answer customer related questions and/or provide additional customer service.
• Performs various set-up and clean-up responsibilities so that the facility is kept safe, clean, and ready for the next event.
• Responds to accidents and/or emergencies in a calm and controlled manner.
• Ensures facility is properly secured each evening to safeguard the facility from theft and vandalism.
• Performs other job related responsibilities as apparent or assigned.
• This position works a varied schedule that includes nights and weekends.

• High school education or GED equivalent
• One year experience in customer service related field.
• Some mechanical / maintenance experience is desirable.
• First Aid/CPR certification required within 6 months of hire.

• Ability to perform lifting and moving of equipment and materials required to set up and clean up various events.
