Northrop Grumman Defense Systems (NGDS) Advanced Weapons Business Unit is seeking a Program Integration Manager in support of the Air Warfare Systems and Advanced Programs Operating Unit. This position will report directly to the Advanced Weapons BU Chief of Staff. The position is based on-site in Northridge, CA.
The selected candidate will be a key member of the OU leadership team and should thrive in a fast-paced environment with high expectations, diverse responsibilities, and collaboration across all levels and functions. The role involves frequent interaction with senior leadership, exposure to sensitive programs and new business activities, and requires considerable tact, diplomacy, discretion, and sound judgment.
This leader will also manage a team of Project Managers who will support overall program integration across the Operating Unit. In addition to supporting some of our most meaningful and exciting missions, this role gives the selected candidate the opportunity to gain in-depth exposure to how the business and portfolio operate.
What You’ll Get To Do:
Primary responsibilities are included but not limited to:
- Serve as a core member of the Program Management team, overseeing program execution and helping establish and maintain a disciplined management cadence that ensures visibility to critical tasks and milestones.
- Lead and/or coordinate a team of program integrators and cross-functional partners to drive horizontal and vertical integration across Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), ensuring the health of the program, people, processes, and tools.
- Support cost, schedule, and technical requirements; identify and manage risks and opportunities throughout execution.
- Support program reporting and leadership reviews, including weekly status reviews and heading checks, ensuring stakeholders are informed of progress, changes, and issues.
- Support proposal and capture activities across multiple contracts as needed.
- Participate in and help drive process improvement initiatives, including change management and program execution best practices.
- Ensure deliverables required by Division level business rhythms are coordinated among the staff and delivered on-time.
- Enable Program Integration Team (PIT) organization to effectively support Program Management across all NGDS Program Monitoring and Controls Processes and the execution of programs
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of relevant professional experience, or a Master’s degree with 6+ years of relevant professional experience, supporting U.S. Government contracts/customers, program or project management, business operations, and/or technical programs.
- Experience in project/program management, business management, or cross-functional team leadership, including responsibility for coordinating project activities, deliverables, schedules, and/or stakeholder requirements.
- Demonstrated experience analyzing program financial performance, including budgets, forecasts, cost performance, financial metrics, and/or variance analysis, and developing recommendations for program or business leadership.
- Experience working in a U.S. Government contracting or other regulated environment, including defense contracting, government procurement, or a comparable regulated environment.
- Experience using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint to perform business analysis, develop presentations/reports, manage information, and/or support project execution.
- Must possess a current/active DoD Secret clearance to be considered with the ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI and/or SAP access for which U.S. citizenship is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification or equivalent project/program management certification.
- Experience working within Northrop Grumman organizational structures, processes, policies, and procedures including collaboration across multiple functional organizations.
- Cost Account Management (CAM) certification or prior CAM experience, including application of Earned Value Management (EVM) principles such as cost forecasting, variance analysis, and Estimate at Completion (EAC) development.
- Current/active Top Secret clearance with SCI and/or SAP access.
Primary Level Salary Range: $133,100.00 - $199,700.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
