Job Description:


DePuy Synthes is recruiting for a(n) Analyst, Benefits – EMEA, located in Manila, Philippines.


Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopedics business to establish a standalone orthopedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 18 to 24 months, subject to legal requirements, including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, as may be required, regulatory approvals and other customary conditions and approvals. Should you accept this position, it is anticipated that, following conclusion of the transaction, you would be an employee of DePuy Synthes and your employment would be governed by DePuy Synthes employment processes, programs, policies, and benefit plans. In that case, details of any planned changes would be provided to you by DePuy Synthes at an appropriate time and subject to any necessary consultation processes.


The Analyst, Benefits – EMEA is part of the HR Global Services Benefits organization and plays a key role in delivering a consistent, high-quality employee benefits experience across the EMEA region. This position supports the administration, implementation, and continuous improvement of employee benefits programs while partnering with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure effective service delivery.

The role offers the chance to work in a highly collaborative, international environment while supporting initiatives that directly impact employee experience and organizational success.


Key Responsibilities 

  • Manage and resolve Tier 2.0 and Tier 1.5 benefits cases for EMEA employees, ensuring timely and accurate issue resolution. 
  • Provide support for employee leave and time-off programs, including policy guidance, administration, and case management. 
  • Partner with external vendors, including Aon and Alight, to ensure effective delivery of benefits services and resolution of operational issues. 
  • Support annual benefits renewal and enrollment activities, including employee communications, testing, validation, and issue resolution. 
  • Assist with the implementation of new benefit programs, plan enhancements, and organizational change initiatives. 
  • Respond to policy inquiries and provide guidance on benefits interpretation, exceptions, and program administration. 
  • Maintain and update benefits plan documentation, procedures, knowledge articles, and operational resources. 
  • Develop and deliver employee communications that enhance understanding and awareness of benefits programs. 
  • Support operational processes including OTP, EIB transactions, and benefits-related system activities. 
  • Administer social and government-mandated benefits programs in accordance with local market requirements. 
  • Provide support for insurance plans, claims inquiries, and vendor escalations. 
  • Support market-specific programs, including company fleet offerings and pension plans where applicable. 
  • Assist with administration of flexible work arrangements and related employee policies. 
  • Analyze benefits data and identify opportunities to improve service delivery, operational efficiency, and employee experience.

Qualifications 

Education 

Required: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, Management, or a related field. 

Preferred: 

  • Professional certification in Human Resources, Benefits, Total Rewards, or a related discipline.

Experience and Skills 

Required 

  • 2-4 years of relevant experience in benefits administration, human resources, shared services, total rewards, or a related field.  
  • Experience supporting employee benefits programs and responding to employee inquiries in a service-oriented environment. 
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail. 
  • Experience managing employee cases and working with HR systems and benefits administration platforms. 
  • Ability to prioritize multiple activities, manage deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain benefits information clearly to employees and stakeholders. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. 

Preferred 

  • Experience supporting EMEA benefits programs or working within a multinational shared services environment. 
  • Knowledge of benefits administration systems, HRIS platforms, and case management tools. 
  • Experience working with third-party benefits vendors and service providers. 
  • Familiarity with pension, insurance, and government-mandated benefit programs across EMEA markets. 
  • Understanding of benefits compliance, policy interpretation, and plan governance. 
  • Experience supporting annual enrollment, benefits implementation, or change management initiatives. 
  • Continuous improvement, process optimization, or project support experience. 

Other 

  • Language: Fluent English required; additional European language capabilities are preferred. 
  • Travel: Up to 10% domestic and international travel, as business needs require. 
  • Certifications: Benefits, Total Rewards, HR, or related certifications are preferred.
