General Information/Job Summary
The Project Controls Manager will oversee a project controls staff provide comprehensive cost control, schedule, progress, reporting and forecasts.
Responsibilities/Competencies
- Lead and develop project controls team to implement effective work processes covering all facets of cost, schedule, progress, change management and reporting.
- Develop and maintain cost reports (both internal & client) on a weekly basis including accurate and current projections and forecasts.
- Develop and maintain project schedules and implement work practice to actively engage project team in schedule updates and maintenance
- Develop and maintain engineering and construction progress reporting process and ensure timely and accurate updates.
- Development and maintenance of change management system including change orders, budget shifts, and trends including contingency management.
- Timely and accurate forward-looking analysis and mitigation plan development to reduce or eliminate unforeseen cost impacts.
- Develop and implement active trending processes to support forecasting, scheduling, and reporting accuracy
- Actively participate in reviews of all project controls deliverables with the project team.
- Manage project controls team to implement and keep current project budgeting, forecasting, progress tracking, payroll coding, data audits, and all other project controls work processes
- Establish comprehensive reporting and data analytics process for internal and external management level reporting
Requirements
- Min 10 years of experience in Project Controls.
- Ability to work on project sites in Texas, New Mexico or North Dakota. Position may rotate between office and on-site work as needed.
- Per Diem available if on site, and home address is over 50 miles from project site.
- Experience in Data Center construction / Power Generation Plants / Oil & Gas.
- Possess thorough working knowledge of scheduling and costing principles.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
