Position Purpose:
This role is a temporary, non-exempt position at the intern level. Key Capture Energy is seeking a detail-oriented and technically minded intern to help develop and standardize operational procedures within our Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
This role offers exposure to utility-scale Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) operations while working directly with subject matter experts across Operations, HSEQ, Asset Management, and Engineering. The intern will help gather requirements, build procedure templates, and support the implementation of standardized workflows that improve operational consistency across KCE's fleet.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys organizing information, building processes, and translating technical requirements into practical tools and workflows.
Key Responsibilities:
- Meet with stakeholders from Operations, HSEQ, Engineering, and Asset Management to understand procedure requirements.
- Develop and standardize operating, maintenance, safety, and compliance procedures within KCE's CMMS.
- Translate existing documents, checklists, and work instructions into standardized digital templates.
- Assist in building workflows and procedure libraries within the CMMS platform.
- Review existing procedures for consistency, accuracy, and usability.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on operational excellence and process standardization.
- Help develop best practices for procedure management, revision control, and document organization.
- All other duties as required
Work Experience & Requirements:
- Education: Currently pursuing a degree in engineering, construction management, business operations, information systems, safety, environmental science (preferred) but role is open to all degrees.
- Strong technical aptitude and interest in learning
- Excellent organization skills and attention to detail
- Process-oriented mindset
- Strong written communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must have the ability to identify and distinguish colors
