This contract represents one of our most significant projects in the city and will create a wide range of opportunities across our operational teams.

  • Carry out site visits, inspections and quality checks to maintain high standards of workmanship.
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation, company procedures and statutory requirements.
  • Coordinate with clients, residents and internal teams to ensure planned works are communicated and delivered effectively.
  • Manage subcontractor performance and ensure works are completed in line with agreed specifications and timescales.
  • Support and develop teams through coaching, training and performance management.
  • Promote a resident-focused approach and drive continuous improvement across planned works programmes.

Key Criteria:

  • Previous experience as a Planned Works Manager, Contracts Manager or similar operational management role within social housing or property maintenance.
  • Proven experience managing planned works, capital investment or refurbishment programmes within occupied properties.
  • Experience delivering programmes such as kitchens, bathrooms, roofing, external works or other property improvement works.
  • Strong knowledge of Health & Safety legislation, compliance requirements and safe systems of work.
  • Relevant trade or construction qualification (City & Guilds, NVQ or equivalent).
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Good understanding of budget management, programme performance and commercial delivery.
  • Experience managing supervisors, operatives and subcontractors.
  • Strong leadership, communication and people management skills.
  • Customer and resident focused, with experience managing works within occupied homes.
  • Commercially aware with a strong focus on quality, productivity and value for money.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and priorities.
  • IT literate with good verbal and written communication skills.
