The Opportunity

This Senior Structural Engineer position offers the chance to play a key role in the successful delivery of structural engineering projects across South Wales and the wider UK. Working within a multidisciplinary consultancy environment, you will take responsibility for design delivery, client engagement, and mentoring junior team members.

The successful Senior Structural Engineer will contribute to projects spanning residential developments, commercial buildings, educational facilities, healthcare environments, and industrial schemes, ensuring high-quality and efficient engineering solutions throughout every stage of the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of structural engineering projects.
• Prepare structural calculations, reports, and technical specifications.
• Liaise with clients, architects, contractors, and fellow consultants.
• Manage project programmes and ensure deliverables are completed to agreed deadlines.
• Mentor and support Graduate and Structural Engineers within the team.
• Conduct site visits and attend project meetings when required.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant UK standards and regulations.
• Contribute to business development and client relationship management activities.

What You'll Need

• Experience working as a Senior Structural Engineer or an experienced Structural Engineer ready for the next step.
• Strong knowledge of structural design across a variety of building sectors.
• Experience delivering projects within residential, commercial, education, healthcare, or industrial environments.
• Proficiency in structural analysis and design software.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
• Degree qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Progress towards Chartered status or Chartered Engineer accreditation is advantageous.
