What you will do:

• Be a trusted member of the engagement team providing various assurance and consulting services to industry specific clients:
• Proactively engage with your clients throughout the year to gather needed information to complete testing and respond to questions raised.
• Plan and supervise the execution of all audit engagement activities.
• Review and perform substantive testing on client’s balance sheets and income statements.
• Conduct and review tests to assess deficiencies of internal controls and make recommendations for improvement.
• Play an active role in discussions with the Manager and Partner relative to business recommendations resulting from testing performed and information gathered.
• Learn and grow from direct on the job coaching and mentoring along with participating in firm wide learning and development programs.
• Utilize your entrepreneurial skills to network and build strong relationships internally and with your clients.
• Support the growth and development of team members through the Baker Tilly Care and Teach philosophy, helping associates meet their professional goals.

Minimum Qualifications

• 4-year degree, License eligible
• 3 years of experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or an undergraduate degree with sufficient coursework to sit for the CPA exam
• CPA preferred or actively pursuing completion of exam
• Three (3)+ years of experience providing financial statement auditing services within a public accounting firm
• Industry Experience: Experience providing audit and assurance services within one or more industries, including not-for-profit, manufacturing and distribution, construction, or other relevant sectors. Candidates with specialized expertise in a particular industry, as well as those with experience serving clients across multiple industries, are encouraged to apply.. 
• Demonstrated skills in the areas of time management, communication, interpersonal skills, relationship building, collaboration, and problem solving
• Strong leadership, project management, organizational and analytical skills, initiative, adaptability
• Microsoft Suite skills
• Eligibility to work in the U.S. without sponsorship preferred
• Leadership Experience and Career Progression: Demonstrated ability to lead audit engagements, supervise and develop team members, and manage client relationships. Candidates with experience beyond the Senior Associate level, or those currently pursuing Manager-level opportunities, are encouraged to express interest, with consideration of experience and alignment with broader practice needs

The pay rate range for this job position is $81,200 to $105,000. This range represents a good-faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation the firm expects to pay for this position at the time of posting. Actual compensation will depend on a variety of relevant factors, including an applicant’s skills, experience, qualifications, professional certifications, work arrangements, geographic location, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range, and compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. Baker Tilly offers a compensation and benefits package to eligible employees.
