Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Visitor Reception in Santa Monica, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As a Front Desk Officer at a premier commercial real estate location, you will provide a welcoming, customer-focused presence while monitoring lobby activity, assisting visitors, and supporting security-related procedures. You will communicate professionally with tenants and guests, help maintain an orderly environment, and represent Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, caring, team-driven, and integrity-focused values.

What You'll Do:

• Provide exceptional customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and building staff at a commercial real estate front desk while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
• Monitor visitor access, verify credentials as required, maintain visitor records, and communicate entry requirements in a professional and welcoming manner.
• Receive calls, inquiries, deliveries, and service requests; direct individuals to appropriate building contacts and maintain accurate front-desk documentation.
• Monitor assigned access-control systems, cameras, alarms, and communication equipment; report unusual activity, access concerns, or equipment issues according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting actions taken.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortability using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
