Description
The Associate, Production Technical Operations (Para-Professional & Support Path), is primarily responsible for setting up, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting production equipment to ensure products meet specifications, schedules, and quality standards.
In this role, a typical day will include:
- Makes task assignments to area workers to meet daily output requirements.
- Answers task related questions and addresses task related problems encountered by area personnel.
- Maintains on-going job rotation to maintain skills of area workers per their job description
- Coordinates training of others assigned to work area. Maintains knowledge of applicable SOP's ensuring area personnel are trained on same.
- Completion of DCT’s on Trackwise.
- Role models the Novartis Values & Behaviours. Coordinate the continued rollout of quality behaviours in their area on their shift.
- Assures proper maintenance of paperwork associated with tasks performed and maintains reports required for area.
- Audits work in assigned area and identifies problems that have the potential to impact output or quality goals.
- Initiates the resolution of output challenges (including process, equipment or personnel problems) and assists in their correction. Utilises support of tier meetings (2 & 3) to resolve output challenges.
- Responsibilty for maintaining stock of area supplies.
- Monitors and maintains area equipment in a careful and orderly fashion.
- Monitors to ensure compliance with SOP's and safety procedures by area workers.
- Special projects or other tasks as assigned.
- Assist in or lead group in continuous improvement efforts.
- Ensure continual Quality System compliance by adherence to established and evolving Alcon and Novartis QS requirements
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON:
- Good PC skills - Word, Excel, MS Outlook.
- Good organisational skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Proven track record in Quality.
- Confidentiality.
- Strong communication skills.
- Leaving Certificate or equivalent
- Prior work experience in manufacturing
