The Operational Risk Program Analyst role is responsible for supporting the administration, execution, and continuous improvement of Mars Inc.'s global Operational Risk Programs. This role provides structured program, analytical, and operational support to ensure consistent delivery of Operational Risk initiatives across all Mars Segments globally. The Operational Risk Program Analyst plays a key role in supporting governance routines, tracking program execution, and enabling visibility of risk and resilience activities across sites.
This position is well suited for someone who can manage multiple priorities, collaborate across teams, and bring a structured approach to supporting Operational Risk programs. This position is ideal for an organized, detail-oriented professional who enjoys working on multiple projects across Asset Conservation, Business Continuity, Supply Chain Resilience, Integrated Governance Programs.
What are we looking for?
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Risk Management & Insurance, Emergency Management, Health and Safety, Business or related field
2+ years of experience in program coordination, business continuity, risk management, operations, compliance, or project support.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a structured, deadline driven environment
Experience developing training materials, communications, or capability-building initiatives
Understanding of risk management frameworks, loss prevention principles, or audit processes
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret risk data and identify trends
Ability to work effectively in a global, cross-functional environment and manage relationships with diverse stakeholders
Effective interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective internal and external relationships
Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently while maintaining a strong team-oriented mindset
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint; experience with risk management, audit, or data analytics platforms is a plus
Key Responsibilities:
Key responsibilities include coordinating and supporting the execution of global Operational Risk program activities across cross-functional stakeholders; enabling governance and reporting cycles through structured updates and performance tracking; and leading transit and storage claims reviews, including investigation, root cause analysis, and translation of findings into corrective and preventative actions. The role is also responsible for maintaining program frameworks, documentation, and tools, supporting periodic Operational Risk program invoicing and vendor-related tracking activities, while contributing to training, communications, and capability-building initiatives that strengthen operational risk maturity, awareness, and execution consistency across Corporate Risk Management.
Support the planning, coordination, and execution of Operational Risk programs, initiatives, and special projects across Mars Segments globally.
Track project and program milestones, action items, and deliverables to ensure timely completion.
Prepare project status updates, presentations, and supporting materials for leadership, including materials for annual leadership updates.
Develop and maintain training materials related to Asset Conservation Management (ACM) standards, loss prevention fundamentals, and business continuity planning requirements in collaboration with internal and external SMEs.
Maintain training records, certifications, task completion data, and compliance reporting for ACM and Business Recovery Management (BRM) programs.
Support identification of training gaps and drive visibility of site readiness and capability coverage across the network.
Develop and distribute operational risk communications, awareness materials, and program updates across global stakeholders.
Assist in preparing materials for annual leadership reviews and broader governance updates.
Support global transit and storage claim investigations, including data gathering, root cause analysis, and documentation of findings.
Sharing of the lessons learned through informative digital packs to the relevant stakeholders in other parts of the business with similar exposures.
Facilitate dissemination of lessons learned and risk insights across relevant parts of the business with similar exposures through structured communication packs.
Produce period-based KPIs, quarterly analysis and insights reporting, and developing annual metrics reports to support varying levels of management review.

The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is between the range listed below, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position will include variable pay, medical and dental benefits, participation in 401k plan, and paid time off benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an applicant receives an offer of employment.
