Job Description
The Assistant Manager, Team Operations supports the day-to-day logistical and operational needs of the team, ensuring a seamless experience for players, coaches, basketball operations staff, and guests. This role reports to the Director of Team Operations and assists with the administrative operations, and team travel logistics, planning and execution of events and provides team equipment support.
Position Type: Full- Time Contract
Key Responsibilities
- Support team equipment operations in all aspects, including inventory management, organization, travelling, movement of bags, and coordination with staff.
- Coordinate individual player and staff travel arrangements, including flights and related logistics for Summer Development programs and NBA Summer League
- Coordinate event-based hospitality and guest experiences during team travel, ensuring seamless execution for internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage team gifting and hospitality initiatives, including sourcing, inventory, packaging, and distribution for players, staff, guests, and special events.
- Oversee scheduling, administration, and operational coordination of OVO North Court community rental hours and special events
- Provide office administration support, including managing office supplies, inventory, shipping and receiving, FedEx account administration, and general operational needs.
- Assist in planning and executing team events on the road, including off-site functions, staff activities, and other operational events.
- Maintain operational records, inventories, and administrative documentation while ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and confidentiality.
- Support additional team operations projects as required and respond effectively in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and domestic and international travel.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in team operations, sports administration, event management, hospitality, logistics, or a related field.
- Experience coordinating team equipment, travel, events, hospitality, or operational logistics in a professional sports, corporate, or high-performance environment.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Demonstrated ability to build effective relationships with players, staff, vendors, venues, and external partners while maintaining a high level of professionalism and discretion.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and experience with inventory management, travel coordination, and administrative systems.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and extensive domestic and international travel in support of team operations.
- Ability to regularly lift and move equipment and materials weighing up to and exceeding 75 lbs.
