Team Lead (Production) - Night Shift

We are seeking a Team Leads for our First Quality Retail Services located in Lewistown, PA. This position will be responsible for coordinating the work efforts of team members to achieve and exceed team performance goals that conform to established standard operating procedures and good manufacturing practices. In performing these duties, the Team Lead will work as part of their regular operating team while also performing this coordinating function. The Team Lead is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing and adjusting all mechanical equipment, machinery and components.
Night Shift
Hourly starting at $21.00 + $1.50 shift differential
Primary responsibilities include:
- Responsible for efficient coordination of operating teams to achieve daily shift goals.
- Participate in the development of team improvement plans to achieve higher levels of operation performance.
- Take corrective actions, including recommending disciplinary actions, in order to resolve individual team member performance issues.
- Establish and maintain mutually supported relationship with other Lead Operators, Production Supervisors, and resource support personnel.
- Maintain communication with Production Supervisors regarding any information that affects the success of the line.
- Provide leadership and develop team members in coordination with the appropriate support function to identify and resolve safety and quality issues, to reduce waste, and to increase equipment efficiencies.
- Train and/or direct the efforts of trainers in order to train team members to effectively perform.
- Participate in Daily Operations Meetings (DOM) and communicate results and information to team members.
- Model high standards of conduct and leadership.
- Maintain quality standards and follow all quality procedures.
- Assist maintenance, engineering, controls, etc. when working on his or her line.
- Complete and ensure accuracy of shift production reports, Plant Application downtime, maintenance logs, Quality Window, etc.
- Leads and helps team in keeping machine and surrounding areas clean at all times.
- Troubleshoots and analyzes mechanical and operational issues on all equipment and takes required corrective action to resolve these issues.
- Performs preventative and breakdown maintenance on all equipment.
- Performs changeovers on all equipment.
- Performs other duties as necessary when needed or directed to do so.
The ideal candidate should possess the following:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to effectively operate one machine technology at advanced level.
- Standard knowledge of technical processes, materials, and procedures.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Excellent leadership skills.
- Ability to work in and manage a team-oriented environment.
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment.
