Hours: Monday to Friday, 7.30am - 4.30pm with an early finish on Fridays

 

About the Role

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established sheet metal manufacturing company in Biggleswade who are looking for an experienced Welder to join their growing team.

This is an excellent temp to perm opportunity for someone with MIG and TIG welding experience who enjoys working with mild steel and sheet metal in a manufacturing environment. The role would also suit candidates who have worked as a MIG Welder, TIG Welder, Sheet Metal Welder, Fabricator Welder, Sheet Metal Fabricator or Production Welder looking for a long-term opportunity.

 

What You'll Do

• Carry out MIG and TIG welding on mild steel and sheet metal components
• Read and interpret engineering drawings to manufacture products accurately
• Grind, prepare and finish welded components to a high standard
• Assemble fabricated parts in line with production requirements
• Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards
• Work safely while following company procedures and health and safety guidelines
• Support the production team to meet customer deadlines

 

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience in a sheet metal or manufacturing environment
• Confident MIG and TIG welding experience
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
• Experience grinding and preparing metal components
• Good attention to detail with pride in producing quality work
• Reliable and able to work well as part of a team

 

Who Might Suit This Role

This role could suit someone currently working as a MIG Welder, TIG Welder, Fabricator Welder, Sheet Metal Fabricator, Sheet Metal Worker, Production Welder, Metal Fabricator or Manufacturing Welder. Candidates from engineering, fabrication, metalwork or general manufacturing backgrounds with transferable welding experience are encouraged to apply.
