HR Administrator for Aerospace & Defense Manufacturing FacilityLocation: Tempe - 1515 W 17th St, Tempe, AZ 85281 (On-site)Employment Type: Full-Time exempt, day shiftDue to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship or Valid Permanent Resident status is required.The HR Administrator provides administrative support across various human resources functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee records, basic benefits administration, and compliance. This role ensures the smooth operation of HR processes and serves as the site primary point of contact for employee inquiries related to HR policies and procedures.Key Responsibilities:Implements new hire orientation and employee recognition programsAdminister onboarding and offboarding processes, including orientation and exit interviewsScreen applicants and schedule interviewsConducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verificationsMaintain accurate and confidential employee recordsAttends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations, under guidance of HR leadershipMaintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain complianceHandles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the HR DirectorAssist with coordination of performance review cycles and employee engagement programsAdhere to company policies and procedures, including ITAR and other compliance regulationsBasic Skills & AbilitiesStrong organizational and administrative skillsHigh level of confidentiality and discretion with sensitive informationExcellent verbal and written communication skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)Strong attention to detail and accuracyAbility to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentFriendly and professional demeanor with a customer service mindsetEducation & RequirementsAssociate or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field1-3 years of administrative experience; HR experience in manufacturing setting strongly preferredBasic understanding of HR laws and regulationsMust be a U.S. Person per ITAR requirements (citizen or permanent resident)About CMI Group – Systems 3 DivisionCMI Group is a leading aerospace and defense manufacturer specializing in precision-machined components, complex assemblies, and advanced manufacturing solutions for some of the world's most demanding aerospace and defense applications.
