Description
CNC Lathe Operator

The CNC Lathe Operator will:
- Set up and operate CNC lathe machines to manufacture parts to print specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions.
- Select proper tooling and fixtures for each job.
- Load raw materials and monitor machining processes.
- Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges)
- Make basic machine adjustments and offsets to maintain quality standards.
- Perform routine machine maintenance and cleaning.
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures and company policies.
- Document production data, including quantities, defects and machine performance.
- Collaborate with supervisors, engineers and quality teams as needed.
- Complies with all Butech Bliss safety rules.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- Ability to read blueprints and understand (GD&T) (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing ) preferred
- Strong attention to detail and quality control
- Basic math and problem-solving skills
Physical Requirement
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Industrial/manufacturing setting with exposure to noise, moving machinery, and material handling.
- Requires use of PPE such as safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and steel‑toe boots.
- May require overtime or weekend work depending on production needs.
Education And/or Experience:
- High School diploma or GED required
- Technical training or certification in CNC machining preferred
- 1-3+ years of CNC lathe operating experience (or entry -level with training)
