Senior Business Analyst, Actimize_(AML Expert)

So, what’s the role all about?

As a SME in the Actimize Watch Group, they will play a crucial role in analyzing data, identifying suspicious patterns, performing tuning for transaction monitoring systems, providing recommendations on segmentation and predictive scoring to Actimize customers. They should have in depth knowledge about various financial payment systems, FATF and AML /FINCEN laws. They should also have experience using Actimize AML products. Knowledge or experience working as a AML analyst or investigator is a plus. They should have strong presentation, problem solving and communication skills. They should also be able to work well alone and as part of a team.

How will you make an impact?

• Provide consultation on the AML services / strategies for newly onboarded Actimize Customers
• Provide ongoing consultation on AML services provided including using Actimize solutions [for e.g. SAM & WLX or ACTONE], machine learning models, recommendations on new features, etc.
• Collect and analyze financial data for potential AML, initial triage of missed alerts for Actimize clients,
• Perform tuning on transaction monitoring system to reduce false positives and improve quality of alerts.
• Prepare reports and periodic AML analytics presentations on AML trends and actionable insights for Actimize customers.
• Engage with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to gather insights, identify problems , provide solutions, and manage expectations.
• Initiate and lead key strategic initiatives.
• Translate business needs into technical requirements for data science and machine learning initiatives.
• Coach and mentor peer analytics team members on best analytic practices

Have you got what it takes?

• 8+ years of experience in financial services industry, financial crime prevention, transaction monitoring, sanctions screen etc. Experience in financial domain is a plus.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance, Information Technology, or related field. Certifications in business analytics or financial crime prevention [ CAMS, CFE or related] are plus.
• Experience working with Actimize solutions such as SAM, WLF is necessary.
• Proficiency in presentation tools such as Microsoft PowerPoint and similar technologies.
• Basic knowledge of machine learning algorithms, understand model performances, model governance etc.
• Proficiency with SQL, Python, R and/or other data analysis framework
• Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal communication skills for effective stakeholder management and collaboration.
• Creative problem-solving skills , strategic thinking, and good analytical skills.
• Efficient time management, ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to use AI to improve day to day performance.
