Head of Product – Buying Journey

As Head of Product – Buying Journey you work at the intersection of technology, business, and customers. It is all about improving technology, building great products, and devising innovative solutions.

Your purpose is to enable our customers to effortlessly find, choose and order the right products with confidence, directly driving turnover, margin, and loyalty through a scalable digital journey​. This domain covers assortment, machine compatibility, product pricing, and finding and ordering the right product.
 

Together with a team of Product Owners and Analysts, you shape the vision and the plan to further improve the end-to-end customer buying experience.

You will lead a relatively new team, but together they’ve already made significant progress in areas such as product content, search and browse, product recommendations, shopping cart and check-out, and the overall look and feel of the webshop. Your role is to build further on this foundation and bring  the domain to the next level.
 

Your role

• Develop a clear product vision and strategy for your domain, by identifying opportunities and prioritise based on customer needs, commercial impact and strategic objectives.

• Shape the strategic direction into tactical and operational plans together with your team to allow fast execution, continuous discovery of high-potential ideas, and smooth adaptation.

• Move comfortably between the big picture and day-to-day execution, from long-term strategy to concrete product decisions, always with a customer-first perspective.

• Communicate clear and energetic; clearly articulate the product vision to both executives and peers, whether in strategic or tactical terms, as you operate as the bridge between the product teams, other domains and other departments.

• Lead, inspire and mentor a team of approximately 8–9 Product Owners and Analysts, fostering an environment where talent can thrive, skill development is key and expectations are clear and transparent.

• Foster a strong product community where teams learn from each other and share best practices.

• Collaborate with other product domains to create a seamless and consistent customer experience across all domains.

Who are you?

You are an experienced (10+ years) product leader with a strong e-commerce background. You understand how digital customer journeys work and you know how to build, lead and develop high-performing product teams.

You also bring:

• Demonstrable experience building and developing product organisations and teams.

• A strong e-commerce background.

• Previous hands-on experience as a Product Owner or Manager, and experience managing and leading product teams.

• The ability to develop a clear vision and strategy for a product domain and bring this to the organisation.

• Strong conceptual thinking and the ability to navigate complex challenges.

• The ability to switch easily between strategic, tactical and operational levels.

• A Master's degree, or equivalent level of thinking and working.

We offer an attractive salary of €9,176 - €11,216 gross per month, depending on your experience, qualifications.
