**Why this role**
We build software that real businesses run on. You'll join a small, senior, high-velocity
team where you own the product vision and delivery end-to-end, not backlog grooming
pre-chewed by someone else. You'll work closely with senior engineers, steer AI-assisted
development workflows, and drive features from concept to production within weeks.
This is a role for someone who thinks in systems, user value, and operational clarity,
not just Jira statuses.
**Let's be honest about AI in 2026**
We build fast with modern AI tooling (Cursor, Claude, Copilot, etc.). As our Product
Owner, you don't need to write production code yourself, but you must understand how
modern AI-native development changes delivery cycles, estimation, and scoping.
The AI tools can write code, but they don't know what our customers actually need, how
workflows connect across businesses, or what trade-offs make sense for our
architecture. We hire you for that judgment. The bar isn't "can you write a user story
template." The bar is: can you translate messy business realities into crystal-clear
product requirements, prioritize ruthlessly, and steer both human developers and AI
assistants toward building the right thing efficiently?
## Tasks
**What you'll do**
- Own the product roadmap and backlog: define, scope, and sequence features
from concept to production.
- Translate high-level business goals into precise, actionable requirements and
data models that our engineering team and AI tools can execute on.
- Bridge communication seamlessly across stakeholders, developers, and users in
German, English, and Italian.
- Manage sprints, remove blockers, and maintain high velocity without
unnecessary bureaucratic overhead.
- Review shipped features against acceptance criteria, ensuring high quality, solid
UX, and real business impact.
- Refine our product processes as we scale, keeping feedback loops tight and
developer experience smooth.

- Methodology: Agile, lean product development, short iteration cycles, low
bureaucracy
- Tech Ecosystem: TypeScript, Python, React, Next.js, Supabase, Postgres,
Cloudflare
- AI-Native Tools: Cursor, Copilot, Claude Code as standard parts of our building
process
- Communication: Fluent professional proficiency in English, German, and Italian
You won't need to code, but you need to speak fluent tech and understand how modern
software is built under the hood.
## Requirements
**What we're looking for**
**Must-haves**
- Demonstrated experience as a Product Owner, Technical Project Manager, or
Product Lead in software development.
- Fluency in German, English, and Italian (spoken and written) — essential for our
cross-border operations and stakeholder management.
- Strong technical literacy: you understand modern web stacks, databases
(Postgres), APIs, and how software architecture works.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted software development workflows and how they
impact product planning and velocity.
- Obsession with clarity: ability to write concise specs, edge-cases, and acceptance
criteria that eliminate ambiguity.
- Autonomous, pragmatic, and proactive working style suited for freelance
engagement.
**Nice-to-haves**
- Background in software engineering or computer science.
- Experience working with early-stage startups or fast-moving senior product
teams.
- Hands-on experience with modern collaboration and project tools (Linear,
Notion, GitHub Projects).
