Job Description

Contract Type: 6-Month Fixed-Term Contract
Are you an HR professional who combines a passion for people with strong attention to detail and a talent for keeping things running smoothly?
We are seeking an experienced, organised and detail-oriented HR Operations Specialist to join our People & Culture team on a six-month fixed-term contract. Reporting to the Head of People & Culture, you will play a key role in ensuring our day-to-day people operations run smoothly and efficiently across the employee lifecycle. This is a hands-on role covering HR administration, recruitment coordination, employee queries, systems and data, payroll inputs and operational support to the wider business. You will bring sound judgement, discretion and a practical, people-focused approach in a fast-paced environment.
What you will do:
- Manage day-to-day HR operations across the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, contractual changes, leave, employee records and offboarding.
- Support recruitment operations and coordination, including job postings, candidate tracking and communications, scheduling interviews across multiple stakeholders, interview logistics, recruitment documentation and offer processes, ensuring a professional and timely candidate experience.
- Prepare employment documentation including contracts, letters and other employee correspondence, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR systems, ensuring people data is complete, up to date and handled confidentially.
- Act as a first point of contact for employee HR queries, providing clear, timely and helpful support and escalating matters where appropriate.
- Coordinate onboarding and offboarding processes to ensure a positive and consistent employee experience.
- Support payroll preparation and maintain accurate leave, absence and other employee-related records, ensuring changes are captured and communicated within required timelines.
- Support the Head of People & Culture with employee relations matters, HR processes and wider People & Culture initiatives as required.
- Help ensure HR policies, processes and documentation remain current, practical and aligned with Irish employment legislation and internal requirements.
- Produce people data and reporting, and identify opportunities to simplify, document and improve HR processes and ways of working.
Your profile
What you will need:
- Ideally 3+ years of experience in HR Operations, People Operations, HR Administration, HR Generalist or a similar role.
- Good working knowledge of Irish employment legislation and core HR processes across the employee lifecycle.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong coordination and diary-management skills, with experience scheduling interviews or meetings across multiple stakeholders.
- Experience working with HR systems and employee data, with a high level of accuracy and confidence using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a professional and service-focused approach to supporting employees and managers.
- Sound judgement, adaptability and a practical, solutions-focused approach, with a high degree of discretion when handling sensitive employee information.
- CIPD qualification or equivalent HR qualification is desirable but not essential.
