Ferguson is currently seeking a Field Operations Manager to join our Lexington, KY team!
JOB OVERVIEW:
The Field Operations Manager leads field operations across assigned regions, focusing on optimizing and overseeing operational performance. The role emphasizes safety, service quality, cost control, and consistent execution while ensuring smooth operations across multiple locations.
The position guides workflows, resource allocation, and future operational priorities. The Field Operations Manager influences execution and process improvements, and partners with cross-functional teams to achieve operational goals. This role typically reports to a Senior Manager or equivalent leader.

- Support a team of over 50 + associates, contributing to a collaborative and
high-performing business unit environment.
- Successfully support and oversee operational tasks across six branches
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Oversee field operations across assigned regions or locations, ensuring safety, service quality, and operational performance targets are met
Monitor operational performance metrics (e.g., productivity, cycle time, labor efficiency, service outcomes) and use insights to guide improvements and inform leadership decisions
Provide operational guidance and recommendations to address risks, resource gaps, and process inefficiencies, escalating complex issues as needed
Advise on workflow, staffing, and resource priorities to maintain operational readiness and consistent execution across multiple locations
Influence execution standards and operational consistency across field teams without performing day-to-day tasks
Maintain presence in the field to validate execution, reinforce expectations, and identify opportunities for improvement
Drive operational continuity and readiness during peak demand, process transitions, or critical events
Ensure compliance with safety policies, regulatory requirements, and company standards
Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as productivity, labor efficiency, service levels, and cost performance to make informed operational decisions
Recommend and implement process improvements to address systemic issues and enhance operational efficiency
Provide input on workforce planning, talent development, and succession considerations within assigned operations
Influence operational investment decisions including asset utilization, capital planning, and process improvements
Partner with cross-functional teams (supply chain, planning, finance, HR) to align operational priorities with business objectives
SKILLS/EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
REQUIRED:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Minimum of 5 years of field operations experience
Strong knowledge of operational workflows and field execution
Experience in decision making and working across multiple locations or job sites
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Demonstrated operational leadership and influence in field-based environments
Sound judgment and decision-making, with the ability to respond effectively to operational challenges
Ability to analyze data and trends to inform operational decisions and improve performance
Strong communication and collaboration skills across functional teams, frontline staff, and leadership levels
High focus on safety, compliance, accountability, and service standards
Ability to plan and prioritize work across multiple locations or teams in dynamic environments
Comfortable operating independently within established guidelines and escalation paths, and influencing outcomes without direct authority
Proficiency in O365 tools, including Power BI for reporting

Pay Range:

$4,541.67 - $7,258.34-
Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles.

This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible.
