The Team Lead Radiologic Technologist Flex works with Medical Providers and/or a Medical Assistants with the examination and treatment of GoHealth Urgent Care patients. This role is responsible for providing a variety of technical procedures and apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis for our GoHealth Urgent Care patients and providing staff and peers administrative support and assist with coordinating daily staff activities to ensure efficient operation of GoHealth Urgent Care Centers. In. This role is responsible for performing and analyzing patient x-rays and reporting results to Medical Providers. Additional responsibilities include providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of GoHealth Urgent Care Centers. In a collaborative manner, the Lead Radiologic Technologist will provide support to Medical Providers, Medical Assistants and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization and communication.

The Team Lead RT Flex does not anchor at a one particular urgent care site. The Team Lead RT Flex works across sites in close proximity to one another. As patient care needs arise requiring X-ray, the Flex RT travels from to the respective site to render care. The travel nature of this role enables to Flex RT to be exposed to a variety of urgent care settings and maximizes quantity of X-Rays an RT performs.
Job Requirements
Education
Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology program required.
Work Experience
2+ years Radiology Technologist experience
Required Licenses/Certifications
Basic Life Support (BLS) required at the time of hire (obtained through the American Red Cross (ARC) or American Heart Association (AHA).
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registration required
Applicable state licensure as a Radiologic Technologist required.
Valid State Driver’s License
Must pass MVR background check
Must hold state licensure in state of practice at the time of hire (NY, OR, WA, CT, CA, DE, MD, TX, VA, and AR)
Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures preferred
Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
Social perceptiveness and service oriented
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational and planning skills
Proficiency in MS Office and patient management software preferred

Essential Functions

Support Team Members and Business Operations
Ensure day to day operations including ordering, inventory management, call backs, etc. are completed regularly with follow-up from OSM.
Conduct monthly inventory.
Assist OSM in resolving patient concerns at the center.
Provide weekly oversight of calibrater calls.
Drive KPIs and Strategic Initiatives in partnership with OSM (NPS, LWOBs, GoReg, Registration Errors, Conv Pay, MyHealth Registration, Quality Metrics, Etc.)
Assist OSM with correcting registration errors and chart corrections.
Timekeeping for all team members based out of their centers.
Assist center with patient rushes and be available to step in last minute to fill open shifts/call outs without the use of Premium pay.
Assist with MOD duties during OSM absences, such as during weekly leadership meetings, conference calls, leadership events, weekends, etc.
Assist in the training and assessment of team members assigned to the center.
Responsible for x-ray services
Under the direction of the clinical provider, perform x-ray services for patients by applying x-ray energy to assist in diagnosis or treatment of patients in all age groups from newborn to elderly.
Ensure patients are positioned correctly on or in front of equipment and protected during use.
Patient Registration
Conduct patient registration, which includes securing required paperwork and insurance documentation, and verification of insurance and patient eligibility.
Process co-pays and schedule patient appointments for assigned center
Coordinate provider referrals to assigned Specialist
Answer patient questions regarding their care and keep them informed of their status
Patient Preparation and Rooming
Inform technical staff of patient flow.
Prepare patients for examination, which includes conducting interviews to verify patient information, record medical history; confirm purpose of visit;
Perform preliminary physical test (blood pressure, weight, temperature, etc.) for vital signs and escalate critical cases to provider as needed.
Conduct point of care testing as needed (i.e., flu, strep, urinalysis, ECG, HCG); and provide patient information to provider.
Stocking
Responsible for stocking supplies and maintenance of exam rooms, front desk, and reception area; ensure providers have medical supplies needed
Responsible for completing order sheets to maintain supply inventory levels; regularly check expiration dates on supplies.
Administrative
Responsible for maintenance of medical records and scanning charts to patient files.
Answer phone calls, collect and sort daily incoming and outgoing postal correspondence
Ensure reception is well maintained
Conduct courtesy call-backs for patient follow-up on care
Perform opening and closing duties, which includes cashing out, end-of-day communication, and securing the building.
Follow operating instructions to perform and document daily controls and calibration of equipment; maintain Quality Assurance/Quality Control logs for equipment troubleshoot breakdowns, perform preventive maintenance, and submit repair tickets as needed.
