Overview
Expleo is a leading Global Engineering Services Provider with UK presence in 10 locations. We are seeking an Embedded Mechanical Design Engineer with a transversal mechanical design engineering generalists skillset to work with a leading European developer and manufacturer supporting advanced defence and aerospace programmes. The role sits at the heart of engineering delivery, helping to ensure that customer needs are translated into robust, verifiable, and well-managed system requirements throughout the product lifecycle.
Responsibilities
Mechanical Design activities as part of a multi-skilled Systems Engineering team to support a missile project.
Qualifications
A degree in Mechanical Engineering/Design / minimum of a HNC in mechanical engineering (or another relevant engineering qualification)

Experience
Weapon systems or relevant defence domains:
- Metallic's design.
- Composites design.
- Design for manufacture.
- Experienced in aerospace design for aero-structures, in particular wing and empennage.
- Trained and experienced in the use of CATIA V5.
- Trained and experienced in the use of MBD.
- Experienced in data handling processes (converting, translating & transfer)
- Experience of working with novel composite methods of manufacturing.
What do I need before I apply
Due to the nature of this work, work would be required to be carried out on Client provided equipment, with the place of work based from a combination of Client Site and home.
Up to 5 days per week onsite per week.
Must hold an active DV clearance.
