Job Overview
Kemco Facilities Services is seeking a skilled and dependable HVAC Field Service Technician to diagnose, repair, maintain, and service commercial HVAC systems throughout the Southaven market and surrounding areas.
The ideal candidate has strong commercial HVAC troubleshooting experience and is comfortable working independently in the field. This position requires a technician who can accurately diagnose system issues, complete repairs efficiently, communicate professionally with customers, and deliver high-quality service.
Experience with refrigeration, electrical troubleshooting, commercial kitchen equipment, or other facility maintenance trades is a plus.
Key Responsibilities
HVAC Service & Repair: Diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.
Troubleshooting: Identify mechanical and electrical problems and determine the appropriate repair solution.
Preventive Maintenance: Perform scheduled inspections, cleaning, testing, and maintenance of commercial HVAC equipment.
Electrical Diagnostics: Troubleshoot electrical components associated with HVAC equipment, including controls, motors, contactors, relays, and related systems.
System Performance: Evaluate equipment operation and make repairs or recommendations to improve reliability and performance.
Customer Service: Communicate professionally with customers regarding equipment conditions, repairs, recommendations, and job status.
Safety & Compliance: Follow company safety procedures and applicable industry standards during all service and repair work.
Documentation: Accurately document work performed, materials and parts used, equipment conditions, and recommended repairs.
Company Vehicle & Inventory: Maintain company-issued tools, equipment, vehicle, and commonly used service parts.
Quality Control: Complete repairs professionally and efficiently while minimizing disruption to customer operations.
Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or GED required. HVAC technical or vocational training preferred.
Experience: 2–5 years of commercial HVAC service and repair experience preferred.
HVAC Knowledge: Strong understanding of commercial heating and cooling systems, components, controls, and electrical troubleshooting.
EPA Certification: EPA Section 608 certification preferred.
Technical Ability: Ability to diagnose HVAC system failures and complete repairs independently.
Electrical Skills: Strong understanding of electrical systems and controls related to HVAC equipment.
Refrigeration Experience: Commercial refrigeration experience is a plus.
Driver's License: Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record in accordance with company policy.
Background Screening: Must successfully complete a satisfactory background screening.

Physical Requirements
Ability to frequently lift and carry 50–75 pounds and lift heavier equipment with assistance or appropriate lifting equipment.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and perform physical work for extended periods.
Comfortable working on rooftops, at heights, in confined spaces, and in varying weather conditions.
Ability to safely work around electrical equipment, refrigerants, high-temperature equipment, and other commercial HVAC hazards while using appropriate PPE.
Willingness and ability to travel daily throughout the Southaven, Mississippi and greater Memphis service area.
Flexibility to respond to varying customer and service needs.
