Description
MIC3 (Military Interstate Children's Compact Commission) provides for the uniform treatment of military children transferring between school districts and states. The Compact addresses key educational transition issues encountered by military families including enrollment, placement, attendance, eligibility and graduation. JOB SUMMARY
The MIC3 staff are considered employees of CSG but function under the guidance and direction of the MIC3 Executive Director. The Commission is located in the national headquarters (HQ) of CSG. The operations coordinator position is integral to the successful operation of the Commission and provides direct administrative support, and provides program, committee, and event support. The position processes incoming requests and inquiries from the public and Commission members; directs requests to appropriate staff and/or provide resources for resolution.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provides administrative support to the director including but not limited to scheduling appointments and meetings; arranging conference calls; preparing travel itineraries in conjunction with annual events and activities; processing materials and preparing correspondence.
- Handle routine incoming and outgoing correspondence (email and phone) as requested.
- Provides administrative and logistical support the Commission's programs, including but not limited to the training and compliance programs, and the national Annual Business Meeting.
- Coordinate and maintain a calendar of committee meetings, programs, communications, and upcoming deadlines and deliverables.
- Provide administrative support for the Commission's core policy products, programming, and services.
- Provide administrative support to committees including scheduling, document and presentation drafting, creating agendas and meeting minutes and tracking follow-up items.
- Process accounts payable and receivable.
- Assist with updating the website information and data.
- Assist with preparing publications, including newsletters, reports, and other data.
- Coordinate mailing requests for collaterals and resources.
- Track office supplies, inventory, and orders as directed.
- Support staff with projects and tasks.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES

- Knowledge of grammatical standards and the ability to adhere to those standards.
- Possesses skills in operating various office equipment.
- Ability to communicate, both verbally and in writing, with business contacts in a courteous and professional manner.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the willingness and ability to learn new systems.
- Ability to organize, prioritize and complete multiple projects in a detail-oriented manner.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
- Minimum of three years providing executive-level administrative and operational support in a professional office environment.
- Proven experience managing project timelines deliverable.
- High school diploma or GED required. An associate degree is preferred.
COMPENSATION
The salary range for this position, based in Lexington, KY, is $45,000 to $55,000. This salary range is subject to change based on work location and market conditions.
