For this position, the perfect Rhino should have the following skills:
- 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer
- Familiarity with AWS as well as ETL processes
- Proficiency in managing Iceberg table lifecycle processes, specifically compaction and retention, to ensure storage efficiency and query performance
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues across data pipelines, maintaining reliability within Pipeline Orchestration workflows
- Strong grasp of Data Processing principles, with demonstrated ability to contribute to performance tuning of data workloads at scale
- Familiarity with Release Management practices and the ability to produce SDLC deliverables in line with consulting engagement standards
- Collaborative approach to enabling domain teams in adopting consistent ELT and Pipeline Orchestration standards across a Lakehouse environment.
- Fluency in English (C1 Level)
- Availability for remote model, based in Portugal (candidates must already be based in Portugal, with Portuguese or EU citizenship or a valid work permit)
