What you’ll contribute to
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Project Management Planner to join our Business Planning & Strategy division in a permanent full-time role.
The Business Planning & Strategy Division provides strategic leadership and oversight across the organisation, driving corporate governance, compliance, business planning, community engagement, and reputation management. Partnering closely with business units, the division delivers practical solutions, enables organisational success, and fosters a high-performance culture that supports the company's ambition to be an employer of choice.
The Project Management Office within our Business Planning & Strategy division partners across the organisation to drive the successful implementation of strategic initiatives, fostering collaboration, aligning stakeholders, and accelerating decisions that deliver lasting business outcomes.
Reporting into the PMO, the Project Management Planner will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring a range of enterprise-wide projects that underpin Toyota Australia’s strategic priorities. The role also supports the coordination of executive visits, ensuring schedules, briefings, and preparation activities are delivered seamlessly.
Based in Port Melbourne, this role includes occasional travel to our Altona office and offers flexible work arrangements.
How you’ll make an impact
Coordinate and facilitate project governance forums to monitor project plans, KPI performance, risks, and key issues, ensuring timely escalation and resolution.
Lead cross-divisional planning and coordination activities to support Toyota executive visits.
Develop, maintain, and report on project schedules, providing accurate updates to support planning, budgeting, forecasting, and decision-making.
Implement and maintain project management frameworks, systems, processes, and procedures aligned with organisational policies and objectives.
Support the continuous improvement of project management standards and practices to enable the successful delivery of enterprise-wide projects on time and within budget.
Monitor project performance against targets, analyse outcomes, and recommend corrective actions to drive project success and business results.
Your attributes
Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Business, Marketing, Project Management, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience in project planning, coordination, and delivery, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives and stakeholders simultaneously.
Strong project management knowledge, including scheduling, tracking progress, reporting, and supporting project governance activities.
Proven ability to build effective relationships and work collaboratively across divisions to achieve shared business outcomes.
Well-developed communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to coordinate activities across diverse teams and leadership groups.
Knowledge of manufacturing environments, product development, or vehicle launch processes will be highly regarded.
