Job Title: Medical Scientific Liaison (MSL) – Dermatology
Location: Poland (Field-based)
Position Summary:
Galderma is seeking an experienced Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to join our Medical Affairs team in Poland. The role will support the launch and lifecycle of an innovative biologic therapy and contribute to our broader dermatology portfolio. As a field-based scientific expert, the MSL will build trusted relationships with Medical Experts (MEs) and other key stakeholders, generate actionable insights, identify unmet medical needs and evidence gaps, and translate scientific data into meaningful medical engagement. The MSL will work closely with Medical, Commercial, Market Access, Regulatory and other functions to support integrated launch readiness while maintaining medical independence, scientific integrity and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Scientific Engagement & Stakeholder Partnerships
• Build and maintain trusted, science-driven relationships with Medical Experts (MEs), KOLs, healthcare professionals, scientific societies and key dermatology centres.
• Conduct high-quality, balanced and non-promotional scientific exchange on disease, treatment landscape, biologic therapies and emerging evidence, including responses to unsolicited medical information requests.
• Develop stakeholder engagement plans and support advisory boards, scientific meetings and congress activities aligned with the Country Medical Plan.
Launch Readiness & Medical Strategy
• Contribute actively to pre-launch, launch and lifecycle activities for the biologic therapy and the broader dermatology portfolio.
• Identify unmet medical needs, evidence gaps, scientific barriers and changes in clinical practice, and translate them into relevant Medical Affairs priorities.
• Provide field medical expertise and external stakeholder perspectives to integrated launch planning and local medical strategy.
Insights & Evidence Generation
• Systematically capture, analyse and synthesize high-quality field insights and translate them into actionable recommendations for Medical Affairs and cross-functional teams.
• Identify and support appropriate local data-generation opportunities, including real-world evidence, observational or epidemiological projects, registries and other research collaborations addressing relevant evidence gaps.
• Support scientific data dissemination and ensure new evidence and stakeholder insights are shared effectively across local, regional and global teams.
Scientific Communication & Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Present complex clinical and scientific data in a clear, credible and engaging way to external and internal audiences.
• Partner closely with Medical Affairs, Marketing, Sales, Market Access, Regulatory and other relevant functions, bringing scientific evidence and external insights into integrated launch and portfolio planning.
• Support scientific education and internal medical training, and collaborate effectively within local, regional and global matrix teams.
• Ensure all activities are conducted in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, company policies and Medical Affairs standards.
Skills & Qualifications:
Essential
- Advanced degree in medicine, pharmacy, life sciences or a related scientific discipline (MD, Msc/PhD)
- Experience in an MSL or in another field medical role.
- Strong scientific credibility and ability to critically interpret clinical and real-world evidence.
- Proven ability to build and manage relationships with KOLs and senior healthcare professionals.
- Strong scientific presentation and communication skills.
- Ability to identify unmet medical needs, evidence gaps and actionable medical insights.
- Strategic mindset and strong stakeholder management capabilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional and matrix environment.
- Strong business and healthcare-system understanding.
- Fluency in Polish and English.
- Willingness to travel across Poland.
Preferred
- Experience in dermatology, immunology or inflammatory diseases.
- Experience with biologic therapies.
- Previous involvement in a pre-launch or launch environment.
- Experience in real-world evidence or other Medical Affairs data-generation projects.
- Good understanding of the Polish dermatology and healthcare landscape.
