Description
Lytx helps everyone make it home safely. Our AI-powered video telematics platform draws on 300 billion miles of driving data to protect drivers, reduce fleet risk, and improve outcomes on the road.
We are in a meaningful transformation, with new AI platforms, new leadership, and an engineering organization moving faster in the age of AI. We need a communicator who can make this work clear, timely, and actionable.
Role Overview
The CTO organization leads some of Lytx’s most consequential work, including AI product launches, platform migrations, organizational redesign, and new development models.
The Employee Communications Partner supports the CTO organization in close partnership with Lytx’s Senior Employee Communications Partner. This role helps shape clear, timely, and coordinated communications for key R&D priorities.
You will help draft leader messages, advise on timing and channel, and translate complex AI and engineering topics into language employees can understand and act on.
You will also steward Lytx’s Confluence environment so content stays current, owned, searchable, and useful. Employees should be able to find trusted information quickly without tracking down the right person.
What You’ll Do
- Partner with the CTO, CTO leadership team, and Senior Employee Communications Partner on message, channel, timing, and framing.
- Ghostwrite leader messages, all-hands scripts, talking points, town hall narratives, and internal posts in each leader’s authentic voice.
- Build message houses, briefing documents, cascade kits, and integrated communications plans that help managers carry messages clearly.
- Support communications for organizational change, including reorgs, leadership transitions, workforce announcements, and strategic pivots.
- Translate AI/ML product launches and engineering milestones into internal narratives that connect technical progress to Lytx’s mission.
- Measure communications effectiveness using open rates, channel adoption, sentiment signals, and qualitative feedback.
- Work with HR, L&D, Marketing, Product, and the Senior Employee Communications Partner to keep internal communications coordinated.
- Operate Confluence content-freshness practices, including review workflows, page ownership, archiving, templates, labels, and taxonomy.
- Maintain confidentiality on pre-announcement product, organizational, and business information.
What You’ll Bring
Experience and Education
- 7+ years of experience writing internal communications and partnering directly with senior leaders, preferably at a technology company or in a complex, matrixed organization.
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, English, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field. Equivalent experience will be considered.
Writing and Storytelling
AI Fluency
- Fluent using generative AI tools, such as ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, or equivalent tools, as drafting and ideation partners.
- Strong judgment on when AI output requires human rewrite, validation, or a more nuanced approach.
- Comfortable translating AI/ML product concepts for non-technical employee audiences.
Confluence and Content Hygiene
- Experience keeping an existing knowledge base or intranet organized, current, and trusted.
- Comfortable using Confluence governance features, including review and expiry workflows, page ownership, archiving, templates, and labels.
- Able to drive content owners to maintain their own pages instead of centralizing every update.
Change Management and Judgment
- Familiarity with change communications frameworks, such as Prosci ADKAR or an equivalent approach.
- Understands the difference between informing employees and helping them move through change.
- Able to work through ambiguity, tight deadlines, shifting priorities, and sensitive judgment calls.
You’re driven to succeed and so are we. At Lytx, our mission is to protect a world in motion, and we do it by building technology and partnerships that help keep people safe on the road. The way we work is guided by our shared values: Deliver for the customer, Responsibility in every outcome, Innovate with purpose, Velocity with excellence, and Elevate each other.
If you’re looking for meaningful work, a team that challenges and supports you, and the chance to grow your career while making a real impact, we’d love to meet you.
Together, we’re helping make roadways safer and saving lives!
