Senior Specialist, Communications

Position Overview

The Senior Specialist, Communications, will support the development and implementation of communications plans, programs and activities within the Finance and Supply Chain functions. This role serves as a strategic business partner providing counsel and support to functional leadership to ensure impactful communications. The role requires strong writing and communications skills as well as a passion for creativity and innovation.

• Work closely with functional leaders and business partners to develop and implement strategic internal communications plans, campaigns and initiatives — including the delivery of on-brand content and messaging for employees through a variety of mediums and channels (intranet, email, print / digital collateral, video, talking points, articles, town halls, social media).
• Support the development and implementation of Finance and Supply Chain communications for C&S’s integration transformation.
• Edit and refine Finance and Supply Chain content for clarity, accuracy and adherence to AP style, ensuring messages are effective and aligned with company goals.
• Collaborate with design team to produce graphics, infographics and videos that complement editorial content.
• Monitor industry trends and best practices to recommend new strategies and innovative solutions.
• Work with the Director of Communications, and SVP, Communications & Marketing, to ensure consistency with external messaging and strategy, including matters affecting reputation and crisis response.
• Partner with vendors and consultants, as needed.
• This is a hybrid position requiring work in the office three days per week, with the flexibility to work remotely up to two days per week, based on business needs.
• Travel, as required, to team, business partner and / or company meetings.

Skills

• Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills; knowledge of AP style
• Ability to translate complex information into clear, employee-friendly messaging
• Experience supporting executive communication and / or leadership messaging preferred
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Creative mindset and a drive to innovate

Years Of Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism or related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Corporate Communications, PR and/or Journalism
