Geographical scope: Limón and Caldera
Are you an experienced HR professional who enjoys partnering closely with operational leaders and turning people priorities into practical business solutions?
As a People Partner, you will act as a strategic and operational HR partner for our sites in Limón and Caldera. You will support leaders throughout the employee lifecycle, strengthen employee relations, drive organizational effectiveness, and ensure that people practices are aligned with business priorities and local labor requirements.
This is an on-site role with direct exposure to operational and senior stakeholders. It offers the opportunity to influence the employee experience of our two key locations in Costa Rica.
Key Responsibilities
Partner with operational and senior leaders to understand their business and people priorities.
Advise leaders on employee relations, performance, organizational design, workforce planning and talent matters.
Support leaders in navigating unionized workplace dynamics and complex labor relations situations.
Manage complex employee relations cases, investigations and disciplinary processes in compliance with Costa Rican labor legislation.
Lead and support restructuring, change management and continuous improvement initiatives.
Drive the annual HR cycle, including performance management, salary reviews, talent reviews, succession planning and engagement actions.
Support workforce and headcount planning based on operational requirements.
Use people data and HR insights to identify risks, trends and improvement opportunities.
Partner with People Advisors, Talent Acquisition, Centers of Expertise and other internal teams to provide integrated HR solutions.
Support organizational communication, town halls and employee engagement initiatives.
Contribute to audits, policy implementation and regulatory compliance.
Support HR activities for both the Limón and Caldera operations.
Travel to Caldera approximately once per month to provide on-site support.
What We Are Looking For
Required
Completed university degree.
At least five years of HR generalist, HR Business Partner or People Partner experience.
Demonstrated experience working in a unionized environment.
Strong knowledge of employee relations and Costa Rican labor legislation.
Advanced English and Spanish communication skills.
Experience advising operational and senior leaders.
Strong stakeholder management, influencing and change leadership capabilities.
Availability to work fully on-site in Limón from Monday to Friday.
Availability to travel within Costa Rica, including monthly travel to Caldera.
Preferred
Experience in logistics, transportation, manufacturing, consumer goods, retail, agribusiness or another labor-intensive environment.
Experience in an international or matrixed organization.
Experience leading continuous improvement, restructuring or organizational transformation projects.
Familiarity with Workday.
Experience using HR data to support decision-making.
