Description
Responsibilities
- Assist with the investigation, evaluation, and resolution of claims while working alongside senior claims professionals.
- Handle straightforward first-party physical damage and lower-complexity third-party property damage claims from assignment through resolution.
- Gather and review supporting documentation, including police reports, photographs, driving records, weather information, court documents, insurance policies, certificates of insurance, expert reports, and construction-related records.
- Coordinate with independent adjusting firms and other outside resources to assess damages and obtain information necessary to evaluate claims.
- Review estimates and supporting documentation and assist with determining appropriate settlement recommendations.
Requirements
- Candidates must currently reside in Nebraska.
- Previous experience within an insurance carrier, TPA, or claims organization is preferred.
- Prior exposure to property damage, physical damage, casualty, or related claims is highly desirable.
- Understanding of fundamental insurance coverage and claims handling practices.
- Strong investigative, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience handling or supporting first-party physical damage and third-party property damage claims.
- Experience assisting Claims Examiners or Adjusters with claim investigations and file management.
- Exposure to litigated claims, discovery, mediation, or outside defense counsel.
- Experience reviewing legal and vendor invoices.
- Familiarity with insurance policies, coverage documentation, and claim management systems.
