Description
The Quality Inspector is responsible for ensuring products and incoming materials meet applicable contract, drawings, specifications, and written requirements per inspection instructions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Performs final visual and dimensional inspections of products
- Inspects incoming materials and parts from suppliers to ensure they conform to specifications
- Dispositions product according to written procedures and work instructions
- Maintains inventory location and status via barcode scanning and electronic database
- Maintains and updates documentation of records via FilePro, written documentation and spreadsheets
- Communication with Quality Engineers, Supervisors, and Cell Leads
- Any other task assigned by manager
Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Strong communication skills
- IPC-A-610 Certified, preferred
- IPC-A-620 Certified, preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Ability to use a microscope
- Able to work independently and as a team
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds, occasionally
- Willing to work overtime as needed
- Must be able to pass a visual acuity test
- Must be able to work independently and problem solve with minimal involvement from Supervisor
2nd Shift Schedule: 3:30PM-12:30AM M-Th; 2:30PM-10:30PM Every other Friday
External hires must be able to complete training on 1st shift prior to starting on 2nd shift
