Description
The Quality Inspector is responsible to ensure products and incoming materials meet applicable contract, drawings, specifications, and written requirements per inspection instructions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Performs final visual and dimensional inspections of products
- Inspects incoming materials and parts from suppliers to ensure they conform to specifications
- Dispositions product according to written procedures and work instructions
- Maintains inventory location and status via barcode scanning and electronic database
- Maintains and updates documentation of records via FilePro, written documentation and spreadsheets
- Assists and performs sort activities (internal / external)
- Communication with Quality Engineers, Supervisors and Cell Leads
- Any other task assigned by manager
Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Strong communication skills
- IPC-A-610 Certified
- IPC-A-620 Certified
- J-STD-001 Certified
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Ability to read and interpret drawings
- Ability to use a microscope and handheld gages
- Ability to work independently and as a team
- Ability to lift to 40 pounds, occasionally
- Willing to work overtime as needed
- Ability to pass a Visual Acuity Exam
