About the Role
We are seeking a Driller to join our ground investigation team in the Midlands. Working as the second member of a two-person drilling crew, you will support the Lead Driller in delivering ground investigation projects safely and efficiently across a variety of sites. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their career within the ground investigation and drilling sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Lead Driller with daily drilling operations
- Assist with cable percussion and windowless sampling activities
- Collect and manage samples on site
- Assist with equipment setup, operation and maintenance
- Complete site documentation as required
- Follow company health and safety procedures
- Support mobilisation and demobilisation of drilling equipment
Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise
Essential Requirements
- Ground investigation, drilling, construction or utility experience
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Full UK driving licence
- Willingness to travel to sites across the Midlands
Desirable
- Ability to tow trailers and equipment
- Experience with cable percussion or windowless sampling
- NVQ Land Drilling qualification or willingness to work towards one
- Street Works accreditation
- Rail or water sector experience
- First Aid qualification
- DBS clearance
