Crane operator - Cape Town

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE:

• Previous work experience within a production environment will be advantageous

• At least 2 years operating a Crane, Relevant experience in operating crane would be advantageous

• Be able to Receiving and load trucks.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION:

• Senior Certificate / Grade 12

• Good judgment

TECHNICAL SKILLS

• Basic Maths and measuring skills, Knowledge of Steel and be able to count

• Operating overhead crane, load and offload trucks, safely stacking of stock.

• Ensure general housekeeping done in the warehouse

• Ensure daily checks of machinery and report any fault finding on machinery

PRIMARY FUNCTION OF THE POSITION:

• Maintain stock locations

• Filling in GRN for material returned from customers

• Using Bar coding Scanner to fulfil all bar coding requirements

• Verification of incoming material against POD and outgoing material against invoices

• Receiving and loading

• Bar coding

• Moving coil for processing

• Storage and material handling
