Position Summary:
(i.) Conducts research projects using established protocols, processes and
procedures and with minimal or no supervision.
(ii.) Oversees and assists with the development and execution of research protocols,
questionnaires, recruitment and training of team members, data collection,
planning and preparation of research documentation, and compilation of data.
(iii.) Recommends and implements improvements to existing methods of analysis
or research.
(iv.) Analyzes and interprets research data and disseminates the results. Writes
research reports.
(v.) May write theoretical or methodological reports, papers or articles related to
research activities.
(vii.) Assists with the preparation of grant applications.
(viii.) Responsible for the quality and results of their own work.
(ix.) May provide technical guidance and training to research staff, including
Research Assistants 1, Undergraduate/Graduate Student Research Assistants, in the execution of tasks related to research projects.
(x.) Performs various administrative tasks related to the project.
Qualifications:
A master’s degree in Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Public Health, or a related field.
Other Qualifying Skills & Abilities:
a. Research experience in the health sciences, including data management
b. Good interpersonal skills and a strong capacity for teamwork
c. Proficient in Microsoft Office
d. Programming skills (e.g., SPSS, R)
e. Excellent organizational and communication skills.
